Sadly, we’ve heard of more than a few cases of photographers harassing their models. Thanks to the Me Too movement, more and more of these incidents have been uncovered. In her latest book More Myself: A Journey, famous singer Alicia Keys revealed what she went through in her teens. She says that she was a subject of a “sleazy” photographer’s manipulation when she was only 19 years old.
Carlsbad photographer Robert Koester has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexual misconduct. He was accused of sexually assaulting and raping teen models he was paid to photograph, and the evidence suggests that some of them were even drugged and unconscious during the abuse.
After she recently posted a photo of her doctor on Twitter, a woman received sharp criticism from the community. Twitter user @purplegodesss secretly took a photo of her dermatologist and posted it to the social network without his consent. To make things worse, she “sexualized” him, calling him “fine as s**t,” in a Tweet that quickly went viral.
