It looks like Fuji fans won’t have long to wait for a replacement for their two-and-a-half-year-old X-T4. It looks like they’re going to be announcing the X-T5 on November 2nd if the rumours are correct. And it looks like most of the specs have leaked out already, too. According to several posts on Fuji Rumors, the new X-T5 will cost around $1,699 and contain the same 40-megapixel sensor of the Fujifilm X-H2.

It looks like the new Fujifilm X-T5 will be officially announced on November 2nd, as Fujifilm has scheduled a live X Summit Tokyo 2022 event for that date on YouTube. November 2nd at 1pm GMT (8am Eastern and 5am Pacific, for those in the US). While no official specs have been released yet – or even mention of an X-T5 – there have obviously been rumours.

Lots of photos and specs leak ahead of DJI Mavic 3 Classic announcement

It’s getting close to an official announcement now, just a couple of days left to go. As expected, though, pretty much all of the important details of DJI’s upcoming Mavic 3 Classic drone have leaked. We’re also seeing a whole bunch more leaked photos, too. The leaks come via Roland Quandt of Winfuture, and there’s a lot!

As expected, it’s pretty much the same as the regular DJI Mavic 3, except with a single camera on the gimbal rather than two. Like the main camera on the Mavic 3, the Mavic 3 Classic’s camera contains a 20-megapixel 4/3 CMOS sensor and shoots video at up to 5.1K resolution. It has a 24mm equivalent focal length lens for an 84° field of view with a variable aperture of f/2.8 to f/11 and a minimum focus distance of 1 metre.

Laowa Argus 18mm MFT and 25mm APS-C f/0.95 APO lens photos and specs leak ahead of upcoming announcement

Laowa’s Argus range has been a little slow in growing, although the few fast prime lenses in the Argus line so far, have proven to be quite popular. Initially, the series launched in January 2021 with a 25mm lens for MFT, 33mm for APS-C and 35mm, and 45mm lenses for full-frame, all with that same wide f/0.95 maximum aperture. Although, that 25mm for MFT did take over a year to actually come to market.

It seems that two more are to be announced tomorrow, though, and photos and specs of both lenses have leaked early. The Micro Four Thirds lineup is doubling, with the addition of a new 18mm f/0.95 lens and APS-C is now going to see the 25mm focal length, also at f/0.95, in Sony E, Canon EF-M, Canon RF, Fuji X and Nikon Z mounts.

Images of new Sigma lenses leaking ahead of an official announcement are as inevitable as Thanos. Sigma has a new products presentation live stream planned for later today (in about 3 hours from now) where it’s expected that they’ll announce the new Sigma 20mm f/1.4 DG DN Art and 24mm f/1.4 DG DN Art series lenses. The basic specs leaked last week and now we’re getting to have a look at them.

As well as the images, there are also a few new bits of information, including expected shipping dates and a Japan price for the 24mm. There’s no word yet on what they’ll cost in the rest of the world, but I’m sure that information will be coming later today during the official announcement. I’ve embedded the upcoming stream here in case you missed it.

Sigma has scheduled a “New Products Presentation” on their YouTube channel for August 8th at 21:00 Japan Standard time – which is 1pm UK time, 8am Eastern and 5am Pacific on the same date. Sigma hasn’t said what they’re expected to announce or how long it’ll take but it’s expected to be two new 20mm f/1.4 DG DN and 24mm f/1.4 DG DN Art series lenses.

We know by the designations in the leaked specs that they’re full-frame lenses, and according to leaked specs, both will be available for full-frame Sony E mount cameras. The leaked specs don’t specify that there’s an L mount version coming, they do list a separate “E-Mount version” for some specs, suggesting that will also come in L mount flavour.

Leaked spec sheet shows Fuji X-H2S to have X-Trans sensor – official announcement expected today

The long-awaited Fuji X-H2 is apparently on the way, but unlike the original, there are seemingly going to be two separate X-H2 models. The regular X-H2 and an X-H2S. The X-H2 is rumoured to be a high-resolution model with a ~40mp sensor capable of shooting 8K video, but there hasn’t really been any evidence to back up those rumours. The X-H2S, on the other hand, has had its entire spec sheet leaked.

The leak comes just before Fuji is expected to officially announce a new camera at X Summit. It’s now expected that this camera will indeed be the X-H2S. The specs sheet, though, tells us most of what we need to know. It has a 26-megapixel X-Trans sensor, features dual UHS-II SD and Cfexpress Type B card slots, and shoots up to 6.2K resolution video at 30fps, as well as 4K at up to 120fps.

DJI leak shows the DJI Avata CineWhoop style drone for shooting FPV cinema

Well, it looks like the DJI Mini 3 Pro isn’t the only small drone that DJI’s been working on lately. According to leaks from both OsitaLV and DealsDrone, DJI’s also been working on a small-ish (~500g) FPV drone in the CineWhoop style. CineWhoop is a relatively new style of drone designed for shooting high-quality video footage while flying FPV.

FPV has become popular for not only showcasing the abilities of drone pilots but it’s even become a thing in Hollywood now with a lot of movies seemingly jumping on the tech. I even spotted some FPV shots while watching Ambulance the other day (some of them are in the trailer). So, it makes sense that DJI is looking to exploit this market.

Well, it looks like Venus Optics is getting ready to announce at least one more lens. Not surprisingly, it’s a macro lens. Photos and specs have leaked for an upcoming Laowa FFii 90mm f/2.8 CA-Dreamer 2x Macro lens, that will be available in mounts for Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z and Leica L.

The lens is expected to be officially announced on May 23rd and while are no sample photos to show what the view through the lens looks like, enough specs have leaked to cover the basics. There are also some leaked photos and Sony Alpha Rumors even posted an unboxing video to YouTube by Camera Beta.

There’s supposed to be a teaser announced later today and the official announcement is expected on May 10th, but the complete specs for DJI’s upcoming Mini 3 Pro drone have leaked, confirming that it has a 48-megapixel 1/1.3″ CMOS sensor capable of shooting 4K HDR video. It has a top speed of 34 minutes (on the standard battery) with level five wind resistance.

It has a top flight speed of 16 metres per second (~35.8mph) and a maximum flying height of 4,000 metres (~13,100 feet) and a maximum flight distance of 18km. Of course, that maximum height and distance are still governed by your local regulations. The leak, not surprisingly, comes via Jasper Ellens (otherwise known as 27 Leaks) who’s leaked much of the Mini 3 Pro information so far.

Dutch retailer leaks DJI Mini 3 Pro details – 4K60p, 3-way obstacle avoidance and up to 47 min flight time

DJI hasn’t officially said a thing about the DJI Mini 3 Pro yet, but Dutch retailer TopRC seems to have jumped the gun a little early, sending a listing live and possibly confirming the rumoured announcement date. If not the specific date, a screw-up like this usually does indicate that an official announcement is imminent. So, it’s going to be soon. But in the listing, they put the complete specs and even listed a price.

The listing, as spotted by DroneDJ, has since been redacted, although it still pops up in search results. Clicking it in the search results just takes you to the page showing all DJI products that they stock although Google still has the page cached. Regardless, we have the complete description of the drone now and its capabilities – and it appears it does have rear collision avoidance, after all.
