It’s been a little while since we’ve seen anything really new and cool from DJI. Ok, sure, there was the DJI Mavic Mini, but that was back in October. Now, though, it looks like we might be getting close to a Mavic Air 2 announcement.

Photos purporting to be of an upcoming DJI Mavic Air 2 have leaked over on Drone DJ. The original DJI Mavic Air was released two years ago, and while pretty amazing for 2018, it’s coming up time for a bit of a refresh.

The first photo of the upcoming Canon EOS R5 in the wild has been posted by Newswitch, with the Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM lens attached. As you can see, it looks very similar in design to the EOS R, although perhaps a little bigger. No more specs have been released yet, although Newswitch reports that the camera ist o be released “as soon as possible”, and should start shipping before the Tokyo Olympics begin in July.

Here’s every leak and rumour we know about the Fujifilm X-T4 so far

Man, Fuji rumour mill has been going nuts over the last couple of days with Fujifilm X-T4 leaks. I’ve been trying to wrap my head around them all to see how things are shaping up, and which leaks and rumours seem to be the most reliable and thought I’d try to compile them here in one place.

Bear in mind, though, these are leaks and rumours. Until we hear an official announcement from Fuji, there are no guarantees.

Here are the first images taken with the Laowa 9mm f/5.6 full frame lens

A little while back, Laowa (A.K.A. Venus optics) announced a very exciting new 9mm f/5.6 full-frame lens. (Laowa already has a 9mm 2.8 lens for crop sensors, but this lens is for full-frame and lower aperture).

One of the exciting features of this lens is that it is a Rectilinear, low distortion lens and does not create any fish-eye distortion. It is not as distortion-free as Laowa’s Zero-D, but still has very (very!) low distortion for a 9mm lens.

We managed to get our hands on a few sample photos for the lens made with various cameras, click on each image for larger resolution.

Canon’s upcoming 24-105mm RF lens actually has a pretty slow f/4-7.1 aperture

It looks like the previous rumours about the impending Canon 24-105mm IS STM RF lens were a little optimistic. Initially, it was believed that this would be a pretty standard f/3.5-5.6 lens, like its EF mount counterpart, but it seems that it’s actually a horrendously slow f/4-7.1, according to a new specs leak by Nokishita.

Photos of Canon’s upcoming RF mount 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens have leaked

As well as photos of the soon-to-be-announced EOS 850D/T8i, Nokishita has also put out some photos of the upcoming Canon RF mount 24-105mm f/3.5.5.6 IS STM for the EOS R mirrorless camera range. And, no, that’s not the rumoured EOS R5 or EOS R6 it’s attached to in the photo above. just the Canon EOS RP.

Canon already has an RF Mount 24-105mm f/4L, but this one will be a new “kit zoom” at a significantly lower price point than the $1,100 constant f/4 aperture L lens. It’ll still probably be around $600, though.

The Canon EOS 850D (or Rebel T8i or Kiss X10i in other parts of the world) is expected to be announced at some point this month, either before or during CP+ in Japan. After a recent leak showed off some of the specs and a couple of “official” photos of the product, Nokishita has posted some more photos of the actual camera itself, ahead of the upcoming announcement.

The first images of Nikon’s upcoming D780 DSLR have leaked

The Nikon D780 announcement is expected to arrive in just three days during the opening of CES 2020 in Las Vegas. To add some weight to that announcement rumour, images purporting to be of the new camera have been leaked on Nikon Rumors.

There are no new specs to come with the images, and the photos don’t appear to be exactly like any of Nikon’s other DSLRs, so it’s possible they are legit, although the “D780” lettering looks a little strange compared to Nikon’s prior releases. They also confirm the lack of popup flash.

Strange silver and black Canon 1DX Mark III shows up in leaked photo

Canon’s known for being a little strange at times, but this one seems pretty weird, even for Canon. At least one silver and black 1DX Mark III appears to exist according to a low resolution leaked photo on Canon Rumors. They modified the image to remove the photographer, but it’s an odd-looking camera indeed.

Canon has made silver DSLRs before, but it’s usually their low-end entry-level kit, not their $5K+ flagship models. Other than the photo, there isn’t really a lot of information about it, of course, there isn’t really a lot of information out there about the usual black 1DX Mark III, either.
