Kylie Jenner and her makeup collection have got under fire a few times so far. The young “media personality” announced her latest collection yesterday, and yeah – she got slammed again. This time, it was because she was promoting a makeup line with a heavy Instagram filter on her face.
Random photo of an egg is now the most liked Instagram post of all time
Until recently, Kylie Jenner was holding the record for the most liked Instagram post. But her record was beaten – by a random stock photo of an egg! The photo passed Jenner’s 18 million likes earning almost two times as much, and counting.
Kylie Jenner is being accused of stealing other peoples concepts and ideas…again
It’s not the first time Kylie Jenner’s been accused of stealing other peoples ideas. She’s been accused of copying lipstick formulas form other companies. She’s also been accused of stealing a makeup artist’s eyeshadow palette for her “KyShadows”, as well as imagery from LA make-up artist Vlada Haggerty. You might remember Vlada. We featured a post of hers on DIYP a few months ago on giving credit where it is due. How’s that for irony?
Vlada is now accusing Kylie of stealing from her, yet again. This time, it’s the concept from a shoot she did in September. Vlada posted an image to Instagram in September. Kylie posted hers just yesterday. After seeing them side-by-side, you can’t deny there’s a pretty striking similarity between the two. Here’s Vlada’s image, that was posted two months ago.
Instagram’s 5 most popular photos ever
In recognition of Instagram’s 5th birthday, TIME has compiled a list of the 5 most-liked photos on the photo-sharing app, as well as a list of the 5 most popular photos for each of the five years.
With over 40 billion photos shared by its 400 million users, now averaging 80 million new photos and 3.5 billion “likes” per day, the competition should be fierce.
I say should because with so many users and photo you’d expect varied results, especially with more than 75% of users living outside of the USA, but that’s far from being the case.
Current events, news, politics? Not even close. “America’s First Family” are the big winners, and I’m not referring to the one living in the White House.
