If you want a wedding dress that will look magical both on you and in the wedding photos, it can cost a fortune. But, photographer Keow Wee Loong is on a mission to prove that even a cheap wedding dress can look amazing if the photographer can make it that way. So, he bought two cheapest wedding dresses I’ve ever heard of and spent only $20. He took some shots to prove his theory and kindly shared them with DIYP, so you can see the results for yourself.
This couple had a wedding photoshoot inside a volcano
Malaysian photographer Keow wee Loong is known for his extreme photoshoots. This time, he followed a wedding couple to the crater of Ijen volcano complex in Indonesia. Surrounded by rocks and smoke, they ended up with the photos that look like they were taken on another planet.
This photographer and his new bride recreated their own wedding’s first kiss around the world
Everybody wants to have special photography of their wedding. Particularly the first kiss. Some people will spend a fortune finding and hiring just the right photographer. Somebody to create images they know they will love for decades. For Thailand based photographer, Keow Wee Loong, the right photographer was himself.
You might remember Keow for similar shenanigans when he proposed to his now-wife Marta. Since that time, the couple have travelled to eleven countries to recreate their first kiss. England, Italy, Indonesia and Japan contain just some of the locations the couple visited. And while the idea itself is rather special, what makes this even cooler is that Keow shot each of these photographs himself.
Photographer and couple climb two mountains in freezing weather to take wedding photos
Taking the perfect wedding photos isn’t easy. The competition is high, and there are many clichés that can be difficult to beat. But a Malaysian photographer Keow Wee Loong managed to take wedding photos that probably not many people will try to replicate.
The photographer and the happy couple climbed two mountains to take perfect scenic photos. It was Mount Rinjani, a 3,726m active volcano in Indonesia, and Mount Kinabalu, a 4,095m peak in Malaysia. Cold, wind, rain and 7 days of climbing later, they ended up with this series of wedding shots.
Unseen (and unauthorised) photos from the ghost towns of Fukushima
The Fukushima disaster was one of the biggest and most terrible man-made catastrophes of all time. In the course of several days on march 2011 a nuclear power plant near Fukushima went from being a welcomed power source to hell on earth. The place was evacuated and access has been denied.
Some photographers go through excruciating process to get the necessary permits, but this story is about Keow Wee Loong, Malaysian photographer, who is oblivious to man made boundaries (see his volcano and scaling the Finance Centre in Shenzhen photos). Keow Wee Loong entered Fukushima and documented how lives were abruptly stopped there.
Daredevil Snaps From The Tallest Residential Building In The World
26 years old Malaysian photographer and daredevil Keow Wee Loong (previously) is known for his affection of taking photos from tall buildings, preferably such that can’t be access by the public.
His latest endeavor involves two of the tallest buildings in Dubai, 101 flights of stairs and couraging 60 degrees centigrade during the climb. The photos are better than any drone can take. We asked Wee Loong a few questions.
This Is Where SmartPhones Stand: Phonography Light Painting
One of the main concerns of the photographic industry is the fact that smarthones are slowly biting into the more advanced camera markets. People who use to carry a camera everywhere are now using a smartphone as their go-to camera, simply because it is always in their pocket. The other market is the more advanced photographers, those who need the extra control that a “real” camera provides – long exposure is one such example, but the latest Huawei P8 is beating down on DSLRs in that regard as well.
Malaysian Photographer Keow Wee Loong took the smartphone for a Light Painting ride and was amazed at the results. Usually when you do light painting, you set a camera on a tripod and give it a good, long exposure. Those settings accumulate the bright light (i.e. the painting) while keeping the background dark. But Keow Wee Loong used the light painting feature of the Huawei P8 and was able to take stunning light painting photographs, how?
Daredevil Climbs The Unfinished Skeleton Of The Tallest Building In China. ‘Aerial’ Photos Are Amazing
I am not even sure how to tag this one. 26 years old Daredevil Keow Wee Loong snuck into the yet-to-be-finished Ping An International Finance Centre in Shenzhen, China. When it is complete, it will be the tallest building in China, and second tallest in the world at 660 meters. For now it is “just” a 660 meters tallest under-construction site in China. If you are thinking of pulling a similar stunt, know that it is not easy (and may not be legal):
Daredevil takes a selfie against The Blue Fire Of Kawah Ijen Volcano
Malaysia based photographer and daredevil Keow Wee Loong is known for taking selfies in dangerous locations (just check his profile a few words back), but this one must have been the biggest adventure of them all.
Keow Wee Loong snuck his way into the pit of Kawah Gunung Ijen an active volcano in Indonesia to take a most daring selfie against a volcano shooting a blue flame.
