Oh boy, everyone’s favorite topic, accessories for your Fujifilm camera! This can get wild…

Now, obviously, I can’t mention every single accessory that’s compatible with Fujifilm cameras.

Like the first two parts in this series, I’m going to try to keep this at more of a practical level, determining how to set up your Fujifilm kit with the essentials, rather than tell you which specific products to buy (though I will certainly make recommendations).

I got some heat on my last article about choosing a Fujifilm camera for not listing every Fujifilm camera and every photography genre. That wasn’t my intention! My intention was to help you through the practical thought process to make your own decisions based on the factors that are important. And that’s what I’m going to do here with the second part of this series, choosing a Fujifilm lens.

I’m not going to compare the image quality and technical specifications of the 35mm f/1.4 and 35mm f/2, for example. There are plenty of articles out there that do this. Because how do you even know you need a 35mm prime lens in the first place? That’s what we’ll look at here.

I get a lot of emails asking, “which Fujifilm camera should I buy?” Enough where I thought it’d be time to address this in a multi-part article series, Building your Fujifilm Photography Kit! And don’t worry, I’ll still continue answering those emails. :)

But why a multi-part series? Because I can rarely answer those emails without any extra information. And it’s no secret that I can’t stand those “The Best Digital Camera to Buy in 2021” articles on the web. There’s just no way to simplify this topic like that.

Alex Baker is a portrait and lifestyle driven photographer based in Valencia, Spain. She works on a range of projects from commercial to fine art and has had work featured in publications such as The Daily Mail, Conde Nast Traveller and El Mundo, and has exhibited work across Europe

Dave Williams is an accomplished travel photographer, writer, and best-selling author from the UK. He is also a photography educator and published Aurora expert. Dave has traveled extensively in recent years, capturing stunning images from around the world in a modified van. His work has been featured in various publications and he has worked with notable brands such as Skoda, EE, Boeing, Huawei, Microsoft, BMW, Conde Nast, Electronic Arts, Discovery, BBC, The Guardian, ESPN, NBC, and many others.

John Aldred is a photographer with over 20 years of experience in the portrait and commercial worlds. He is based in Scotland and has been an early adopter - and occasional beta tester - of almost every digital imaging technology in that time. Dunja Djudjic is a multi-talented artist based in Novi Sad, Serbia. With 15 years of experience as a photographer, she specializes in capturing the beauty of nature, travel, and fine art. In addition to her photography, Dunja also expresses her creativity through writing, embroidery, and jewelry making.
