UK photographer jailed for raping client

London courts have served a photographer with an 11-year jail sentence after he sexually assaulted a former client. Sritharan Sayanthan, aged 42 and hailing from Fitzrovia, faced a seven-day trial at Hendon Crown Court, ultimately resulting in his conviction on two counts of rape and one count of attempted rape.

The victim, a Chinese woman in her 30s, visited Mr Sayanthan’s studio on Brompton Road in May 2022 to have some professional photographs taken. She later agreed to meet the photographer on July 8 for a seemingly innocent networking gathering, thinking it was part of the process.

Egypt female TikTok influencers sent to jail over “human trafficking”

A female TikTok influencer from Egypt, Haneen Hossam, recently had her content on the platform send her to jail. The only thing she did was what influencers generally do – she invited and taught other users to monetize their social media activity. For this, the young woman was charged with “human trafficking” and sentenced to three years in prison.

The influencer known as “Polo” developed a scheme that involved a Taser, a gun, and his violent cousin who went to the stranger’s door. The cousin broke into the man’s home, and even some blood was spilled as he tried to force the man to give up the domain name.

Carlsbad photographer Robert Koester has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexual misconduct. He was accused of sexually assaulting and raping teen models he was paid to photograph, and the evidence suggests that some of them were even drugged and unconscious during the abuse.
