100 megapixels: the new standard in photography

A career in commercial photography is a progression in learning. One that wains when complacency creeps in and thrives when pursuit of knowledge lives at its heart. Having a broad mind in both approach and equipment is the key to clearing your mind to be creative. Ironically, passion for technology and a yearning for nostalgia also contribute to the motivation to discover a new way to see the world around us. I have been through many technological breakthroughs in my short career, and some merit a milestone while others come off as gimmicks, only to be forgotten with the next camera release.

Canon Announces The World’s Highest Resolution Full Frame DSLR Cameras. Priced Competitively

As expected, the official announcement of the EOS 5Ds and the EOS 5Ds R confirmed the leaked specifications.

Among the few newly revealed details are the shutter’s durability, intervalometer limitations and video recording specifications.

The cameras will be available a bit later than expected, but the pricing is a pleasant surprise.

Canon’s 50MP Camera Specs Leaked. Could It Be Lacking Video?

The much anticipated specs of Canon’s upcoming megapixel monsters have been leaked and, if correct, the rumors were pretty accurate.

The sensor will pack 50.6MP, besting Nikon and Sony’s current 36MP, but did the megapixel race lead to a camera unable of capturing video?

Canon Rumored To Release 5D Mark IV Along With Two High Megapixel Cameras

Canon shooters are in for a real treat with not one or two but three new cameras said to be released.

According to the rumor, Canon will not only be releasing the much anticipated 5D Mark IV, but also the often-rumored-never-seen high megapixel camera – in two versions.

While this is absolutely awesome if true, I can’t help but wonder if Canon hasn’t been following Nikon’s experiences with the D800 series.
