Hasselblad finally releases the tiny 907X 50C medium format camera they announced a year ago

Well, it took a while, but Hasselblad has finally announced the availability of their 907X 50C medium format camera. You know, the one they initially announced last June and did a special edition for that had no actual release date? Yeah, that one. Well, it’s finally here.

The Hasselblad 907X 50C combines the CFV II 50C back with the 907X, Hasselblad’s smallest ever medium format camera body to create a pretty tiny package. The design allows for a more traditional waist-level medium format shooting experience, thanks to the tilting LCD and is compatible with X system lenses (but also H, V and XPan lenses through the use of adapters).

Hasselblad is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the moon landing with a 907X Special Edition camera

You didn’t think that just re-releasing an old press release was all Hasselblad had in store to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landings, did you? Hasselblad has today announced that they will make a new Special Edition matte black version of their upcoming 907X camera body and CFV II 50c digital back.

Announced just last month, the 907X is the smallest medium format camera Hasselblad has ever made, along with the CFV II 50C digital back, and while pricing and availability for those haven’t been announced yet, the new Special Edition version has.
