A few days after announcing the new GFX 50S II medium format mirrorless camera, Fujifilm may be discontinuing another one. According to recent reports, Fujifilm GFX 50R is soon to get off the shelves – for good.
If you’re thinking of buying the new Fuji GFX 50S II camera, you’re going to need a lens for it too, right? Well, Fuji thought about it and introduced yet another lens during its recent gear announcing spree. The GF 35-70mm f/4.5-5.6 WR is a wide-angle zoom lens made for the GFX medium format system. It’s small, lightweight, and at $999, relatively affordable for a medium format lens.
Fujifilm has just expanded its line-up of medium format lenses. The Fujinon GF 30mm f/3.5 R WR is a wide-angle prime designed for the G-mount GFX medium format camera system, and it’s a pretty compact and versatile lens.
Fuji’s new GFX 100 is here, and it’s a big looking beast of a camera. It’s a 102-megapixel camera with a 43.8 x 32.9mm BSI CMOS sensor. We don’t know if it’s the Sony IMX461, but if it is, it should show some excellent high ISO performance and increased colour accuracy.
The GDX 100 shoots video, too, offering 4K DCI and UHD up to 4:2:0 10-bit internally or 4:2:2 10-bit externally over HDMI. It also has an F-log gamma setting to maximise dynamic range and give more grading options in post. Oh, and it has 3.76 million phase detection AF points.
Fujifilm has just announced its latest GF lens, the Fujinon GF 100-200mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR. It’s made for medium-format GFX system. The lens offers 5-stop optical image stabilization. It’s designed particularly with nature and landscape photographers in mind, but I believe portrait photographers could find it useful as well. Let’s dive into specs and see what you can expect from the latest Fujifilm’s telephoto zoom.
The Fujifilm GFX 50R was rumored for a while, and ahead of Photokina 2018, it was finally officially announced. Now that we know the specs, he price and the availability of the camera, a few hands-on looks have arrived as well to show us what the camera is like in action. Here’s the summary of the hands-on videos we’ve found so far.
After plenty of rumors about the affordable and compact Fujifilm GFX 50R and the 100MP GFX 100S, now it’s official: Fujifilm has launched the GFX 50R for preorders and announced the development of the GFX 100S. The GFX 50R retails for $4,500, which isn’t exactly a pocket change, but it’s still $1,350 cheaper than the Fujifilm GFX 50S.
