This is the first fish ever filmed at over 8km depth

Japan and Australia researchers have set a record for the “deepest fish” ever filmed. In other words, they found a fish at the greatest sea depth ever – more than 8km (5.1 miles) – and it’s the deepest a fish has ever been caught on camera.

Stop using flash at aquariums, it kills the fish

Too many people ignore the “no flash” sign when visiting places like museums, galleries, and in a recent case, a public aquarium. But the sign is there for a reason, and it was recently confirmed when the camera flashes confused a fish so much that it killed itself.

The terrible event was captured on video, clearly showing the poor creature hurtling toward the light. Swimming at high speed, it hit the aquarium glass, and it sadly ended the fish’s life.

Scientists film bizarre rare fish with transparent head and glowing tubular eyes

After that creepily gorgeous ginormous jellyfish, researchers of MBARI (Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute) have caught on camera another incredible underwater creature. A barreleye fish is a fish with an entirely translucent head. And even more than that jellyfish, it scares me and amazes me at the same time.

This trippy macro timelapse turns shriveling of plants into art

Motion designer Christian Stangl has shown us some incredible videos shot in space. This time, he chose quite the opposite of the vast universe and filmed a timelapse from up close. Using macro lenses or a microscope, he shot an incredible timelapse named Dry Out, showing various plants shriveling as they dry out.
