If you watch Stranger Things, you know there’s a lot to love about this show. And if you know at least a bit about filmmaking, there’s a lot more to love and pay attention to. In addition to the marvelous acting and exciting story, I particularly noticed the use of light and sound to cause tension. Another feature I started noticing in Season 2 are some creative transitions – and I’m not the only one who did. Zackery Ramos-Taylor has created a collection 25 transitions from the second season of this amazing show. If you’re a filmmaker, these could be a great inspiration. And even if you’re just a viewer, you can simply enjoy the collection of these creative editing techniques.

The Best Film Editing category is probably not what comes to our mind first when we think of the Academy Awards. However, two-thirds of Best picture winners also win Best Film Editing award. This video from Bill Rweher reveals three most common editing techniques you’ll find in the Oscar-winning movies. Australian Video Company Advertises Themselves by Showing Exactly What They Do (and It’s Epic)

These guys run a video advertising company called Torchborne Screens in Australia. When it comes to the video advertising, it looks like they know their field. They released this demo reel to promote the work they do, and it hit the front page of Reddit’s videos section. The video stands as a reminder of what’s possible with the gear we have today and with how accessible that gear is.

Alex Baker is a portrait and lifestyle driven photographer based in Valencia, Spain. She works on a range of projects from commercial to fine art and has had work featured in publications such as The Daily Mail, Conde Nast Traveller and El Mundo, and has exhibited work across Europe

Dave Williams is an accomplished travel photographer, writer, and best-selling author from the UK. He is also a photography educator and published Aurora expert. As well as his creative visual work, John uses 3D printing, electronics and programming to create his own photography and filmmaking tools and consults for a number of brands across the industry.

Dunja Djudjic is a multi-talented artist based in Novi Sad, Serbia. With 15 years of experience as a photographer, she specializes in capturing the beauty of nature, travel, and fine art. In addition to her photography, Dunja also expresses her creativity through writing, embroidery, and jewelry making.
