OK… so the title is only mostly true. I rarely con shoot. But the reasons for that still come from the same place.
One thing I’ve discovered in all my years of paying attention to cosplay photography is that how much of it is very similar in nature. A lot of it tends to happen at various conventions, or at least in the US anyway. Quite a while back I started noticing this… and I knew I didn’t want my work to be the same way.

Marko Stamatovic was born on 13th February 1977 in Kragujevac. Graduated at the Faculty of Philology and Art, Department for Graphic Design in 2008. The member of ULUPUDS (National Applied Arts & Design Association) since 2008, department for the artistic photography and design. So far he has 23 solo exhibitions and participated in over a hundred salons and group exhibitions in the country and abroad, while his works have been published in many publications and magazines like Politika, REFOTO, Novi Magazin, Svetlost, CityWalker, Digital, Digital Camera, Mobil, Danas, Blic, National Geographic Serbia, Smithsonian Magazine, Wanderlust, Tourist World, BLUR, Arts Illustrated, Independent, The Telegraph , Guardian etc etc.. Nemanja Sekulic is a photographer, Digital artist, and Educator who creates dynamic conceptual imagery. In his own words, Nemanja says, “I’ve always been interested in magic and science fiction, the reality is only for those with no imagination. With my work, I try to reflect the idea of everything being possible, the ideal concept of no restraints. What I love more than anything is the reaction of those I show how it was done. We never outgrow our childlike ability to be amazed. At least I know I haven’t.”

I’m always surprised the kinds of weirdly failed inventions that while sometimes useful, are just slightly off the mark. Admittedly, there’s a lot of things to find in such places that make a creative’s DIY life much easier and opens the doors to possibility.
