Us at DIYP love repurposing old and broken stuff. After all, that’s what DIY is all about. Photographer Fabian Oefner repurposes old cameras in a unique and artistic way, and I absolutely love it. In his project CutUp, he uses resin and a good ol’ saw to turn vintage cameras into amazing, trippy sculptures.
This photographer dismantled a real Lamborghini Miura for his amazing Disintegrating Cars series
Artist Fabian Oefner has been working on his incredible Disintegrating series since 2012. He began using small scale models in his studio, which allowed him to have a peaceful release in which to create his work. But when the opportunity arose for him to create an image for his series using a real Lamborghini Miura, he accepted the challenge, and the result is just incredible.
Science As Never Seen Before – Fabian Oefner Talks Photography
Photography is a rare thing in the way it intersects between science and art. Swiss photographer / scientist Fabian Oefner captures exactly that intersection.
Using high speed photography, precise triggering and understanding of light Fabian photographs the wonders that happen when mixing fluids with magnets, powder with speakers and paint with centrifuges.
In his TED talk, Fabian explains his inspiration, his process and performs a few live demos of his Psychedelic science.
