Canon is offering free CarePAK Plus with free accidental damage repair on the EOS R and most DSLRs

It’s all you need, really. Your shiny new EOS R is sitting on your desk next to your computer while you edit images. You reach over to grab your Wacom pen and, oops! You forgot about that mug of coffee and now your camera’s a sticky wet dead mess.

But you’re in luck because you got 13 months of free CarePAK Plus service with accidental damage cover when you bought it. Canon are offering it as an incentive to buy a new camera; Either the EOS R or one of a selection of their current model DSLRs. So, if you’ve been on the fence, maybe this can tip things a little for you.

Here Is What A Sony A7S Looks Like After Dipping In Lava

If you thought that the Sony A7S was weather proof think again. It obviously can’t cope even with the simplest of Lava streams.

Photographer Amanda Stevens was demoing some products at Samy’s Camera in Pasadena CA. She spotted this bitten-to-death camera. [luckily, this is not her camera]. As part of the store’s effort to convince customers to purchase an extended warranty, they have a few cameras on display that have made it to hell and back. Samy’s stuff told Amanda that this specific A7S was unfortunate enough to come across a hot lava stream.

Alex Baker is a portrait and lifestyle driven photographer based in Valencia, Spain. She works on a range of projects from commercial to fine art and has had work featured in publications such as The Daily Mail, Conde Nast Traveller and El Mundo, and has exhibited work across Europe

Dave Williams is an accomplished travel photographer, writer, and best-selling author from the UK. He is also a photography educator and published Aurora expert. Dave has traveled extensively in recent years, capturing stunning images from around the world in a modified van. Dunja Djudjic is a multi-talented artist based in Novi Sad, Serbia. With 15 years of experience as a photographer, she specializes in capturing the beauty of nature, travel, and fine art. In addition to her photography, Dunja also expresses her creativity through writing, embroidery, and jewelry making.
