SD card found on the street leads police to murder charge after viewing its contents

The incidence of dumb criminals filming and photographing their crimes, or at least being caught on camera by their victims, seems to be on the rise. KTUU reports that a woman contacted police in Anchorage, Alaska last week after discovering a memory card in the street. A memory card which she said contained the video of a homicide.

Two days later, police discovered human remains found near a highway. At the time, police said that the cause of death was unknown, as was the amount of time the remains had been there, and the victim’s identity was unknown. Now, police believe that the victim is the one shown on the SD card, and an arrest has been made.

Warning: Trying to shoot a selfie while walking across hot coals may damage your feet

Here’s another one to add to the list of dangerous selfies.  Walking across hot coals and stopping to take a selfie; if it wasn’t obvious enough already.

Approximately 40 people have been treated for burn injuries for allegedly doing exactly that during a Tony Robbins “Unleash the Power Within” seminar at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas recently.

Dave Williams is an accomplished travel photographer, writer, and best-selling author from the UK. He is also a photography educator and published Aurora expert. John Aldred is a photographer with over 20 years of experience in the portrait and commercial worlds. Dunja Djudjic is a multi-talented artist based in Novi Sad, Serbia. With 15 years of experience as a photographer, she specializes in capturing the beauty of nature, travel, and fine art. In addition to her photography, Dunja also expresses her creativity through writing, embroidery, and jewelry making.
