Government officials issued a hilarious reminder to citizens that they should be wearing clothes when taking photographs for their driver’s license and official ID. The plea was posted to Facebook last week by the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) and is apparently not a joke.
The ‘very serious post’ asks people to stop taking naked selfies for their official images and reminds residents of the state to “keep things classy”.
I don’t think any of us has ever been satisfied with our driver’s license photos. But this lady’s photo is an absolute winner because it doesn’t even show her – it features an empty chair.
For most of us, getting our photo taken for things like a drivers license or passport is something we dread. We know the photos are going to look bad. It’s just the way they are. The lighting is flat, bland, boring, horrible, and definitely doesn’t show us at our best.
When “reality star” Khloe Kardashian had to get her new drivers license, though, she didn’t want that. Oh, no. So, she took Keeping up with the Kardashians lighting director Landon Hosto along with her to get that perfect shot. I know this family’s supposed to be a bit over the top, but even this is pretty ridiculous.
Ladies and gentlemen, hell might’ve frozen over.
Virginia’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will now let customers smile when having their license photograph taken—something that has been banned since 2009 when the DMV started planning for use of facial recognition and image verification software.[Read More…]
