Oranges can take photos! Well, actually, they can’t, but you can use an orange to take photos. In fact, you can use pretty much anything to make a pinhole camera, the concept is exactly the same. A camera is merely a light-proof box with a hole to control the light entering (the pinhole in this case).

This photographer turned a broken computer into a working large format camera

What would you do with a computer you used 20 years ago? Most of us would take it to a recycling center, perhaps feel a bit emotional about ditching it, and that’s about it. But Iranian photographer Alireza Rostami had other plans for his old, broken computer. He dismantled it and turned it into a working large format camera.

Creativity has no limits, and this photographer is one of many people who confirmed this with an example. Tyson Haslam used his creativity and some very cheap pieces to create a giant X-ray camera. After some thinking and time, he really made something unique and above all – functional.
