Deity Connect

Deity has finally released their BP-TRX wireless audio transceiver/recorder unit

It took a minute, but Deity has finally announced the release of their BP-TRX audio transceiver with a built-in recorder. Designed to fit seamlessly into the Deity Connect ecosystem, the BP-TRX can also work completely independently, on its own as a field recorder or as a pair to send audio wirelessly to your camera or another recording device.

As with many wireless audio systems these days, the Deity BP-TRX is a digital wireless system running on 2.4Ghz. And as well as audio, it can also be used for timecode to more easily sync up multiple cameras using either an external timecode generator or by creating a signal of its own. The BP-TRX can also transmit audio and record simultaneously (although not if you’re in the USA).

The Deity Connect Interview may be the best 2.4Ghz Audio Solution

When I first saw the Deity Connect Interview kit at IBC 2019, my eyes lit up. Seeing wireless solutions for interviews packed neatly into a box, I knew that this kit would be something to look at. The enormous list of things that his kit to do is amazing. Two transmitters, one receiver, internal recording for backup, adaptive frequency hopping, and rechargeable. And now, we finally have it- It really is an amazing solution.

There is one big question you ask yourself if you want to buy a wireless audio solution. UHF or 2.4GHz. Let’s get this out the way right now. The Deity kit is, in fact, a 2.4ghz system. But before you ditch the article, I recommend you read it until the end. Spoiler alert: It’s worth it!

It runs on 2.4Ghz, lets you control your transmitters remotely, and can keep recording even if your transmitter and receiver lose connection.
