One of the good things on Adobe CC is that updates and new features come regularly and year round. One of the bad things is that those updates are not as bug free as we would like them to be. Half a year ago a CC release killed the healing brush and last week’s release seem to be razing havoc on the Liquify filter.
I a post on Adobe’s forums, user Thomas Quinn noted that after using the Liquify filter the area that was Liquified gets a bright box around it:
I am having issues with the new upgrade to Photoshop CC 2015 on Mac El Captain. The only thing I did was upgrade from a working CC 2015 to the new version. Using the liquify tool give the following look. There is a box around the area liquified that is lighter than the other areas. The next round of updates to Adobe’s Creative cloud for video should be pretty exciting for anyone who is heavy on video editing. Adobe is adding two tools for video editing and color grading that should really streamline the video workflow. They are called Morph Cut and Lumetri Color Panel.
The first one is Morph Cut. This one is aimed at helping you remove all those ‘aa’ and ’emmm…” from a clip. Morph cut is a transition effect that once applied on a jump cut, it smooths out the jump in the speech and makes it look like a continuous talk. (I just wish thy used it on the voice over….)
A lot has been said about adobe’s move from the licencing model to the rental model which Adobe calls the creative cloud.
It started with adding a $9.99/ month photography package which includes Photoshop and Lightroom, but now we may be seeing the next step on the Adobe Creative Cloud pricing.
It turns out that browsing to Adobe’s creative cloud plans in Germany yields different pricing for different browsers.
If you visit the page in safari the photography package will be €9.99 and buying the entire CC bundle will be €49.99
