Sometimes, when you’re out making photographs, you have a bad day. Other times, you have a really bad day. This seems to be the latter after a photographer allegedly drove a $350,000 Lamborghini Aventador through a car showroom window.

The Lancashire Evening Post reports that a man, believed to be the photographer, got behind the wheel of the Aventador in order to reposition it slightly for a better shot during a shoot at Amari Supercars in Preston, England.

Drone fans, amateurs and professionals alike, dread hearing about safety incidents involving their beloved flying devices.

Knowing that any crash can put them at risk of even more restrictive rules, especially if a person is hurt, responsible operators make sure they follow the guidelines and take the necessary precautions.

One FPV (first-person view) mini quadcopter operator, who goes by the name doctorsnaketown on YouTube, discovered the hard way that there’s a risk even when flying outdoors with no other people around… as he flew the drone directly into the back of his head.

Other than being “that guy” for the rest of his life, the unnamed photographer who caused a massive crash at The Giro d’Italia (Tour of Italy) will likely face several lawsuits following Thursday’s crash during the Giro d’Italia.

Daniele Colli, the cyclist whose mangled arm made headlines worldwide, was said to file a complaint with local police on Saturday, with his team and the competition organizers filing their own suits.

Luckily for spectators, the organizers and team owners are inclined to keep the action close to the crowds and focus on educating viewers rather than distancing the racers.

The Giro d’Italia (Tour of Italy) is the most important stage race, after the Tour de France, but unfortunately the sixth stage that took place on Thursday will be remembered due to the unfortunate crash.

Near the end of the race an oblivious, and irresponsible, photographer leaned over the barrier to try and snap a photo with what appears to be a Canon 70-200mm lens. The result was Italian cyclist Daniele Colli crashing and breaking his arm (in a gruesome almost 90° angle. Pics below so be warned), and several other cyclists having a close encounter with the ground. One of them was the race leader, Alberto Contador, who dislocated his shoulder.

It is unknown if the photographer has been identified and if any action has been taken against him.

The DJI Phantom has a failsafe mode that will automatically land the drone if the remote controller’s battery runs out of juice. This is a smart feature, but not very helpful when flying over water.

In such a situation your options are to watch your drone go belly up or make a run for it, or in Tom Leogrande’s case, race a quarter mile for it.

Watch as the drone, capturing footage for a fishing TV show, gets saved and avoids becoming fish bait.

Video firm Every Angle Films had it in their pocket. They shot about one minute of a beautiful sun rise at Pinnacle Peak, Utah using a their new GoPro4 mounted on a DJI F550, naza v2 and an H3-3D gimbal (all and all a few thousands dollars worth of gear).

For some reasons the drone lost connection for a short time with the operator which triggered its Return To Home function. Sadly there was a big rock between the drone’s ‘current location’ and ‘home’ which the drone went straight into, falling all the way down.
