We are all more than just “content creators”

There’s been a term I’ve been hearing more and more creatives in the spaces we run in use to describe themselves: “content creator”. Even from people who work we admire and have learned from. To us, they’re people who inspire, educate, and entertain us. Both in photography and cosplay.

As I kept seeing that term come up my mind kept coming back to one question: why those words exactly?

YouTube finally appears to be helping small content creators with new “Explore” feature

Getting started on YouTube these days is a struggle for most people. There are so many new YouTubers putting out a lot of really great content that just never gets seen by any significant amount of people. And it’s not really their fault. YouTube doesn’t make it easy for new YouTubers to figure out how to get their content seen, and its algorithm typically favours those who already have a huge audience.

But that looks like it might be about to change as YouTube starts to roll out the “Explore” feature. It was originally released as a test to just 1% of iOS users last July, but now TechCrunch reports that it’s being pushed out to more users across iOS and Android device, and even to the desktop.

Meet Facebook’s futuristic-looking 360º virtual reality camera

Some might pass virtual reality off as nothing more than a fad, much like 3D televisions that left the world almost as quickly as they came into it, but the reality is, it’s here to stay.

Nokia, Lytro, Google and Facebook have all dipped their toes into the metaphorical pool, and with the amount of R&D going into it, it’s safe to say virtual reality has plenty of room and capital for growth.

Today, Facebook unveiled the next component in its virtual reality endeavors, the Surround 360, an open source 360-degree video camera designed to capture immersive VR content.[Read More…]

Dunja Djudjic: from diyphotography.netDunja Djudjic is a multi-talented artist based in Novi Sad, Serbia. With 15 years of experience as a photographer, she specializes in capturing the beauty of nature, travel, and fine art.
