Leica, Nikon, DxO… These are only some of the companies offering free photography courses to attend while you’re in isolation. Sue Bryce Education has just joined the list and unlocked their entire library, offering 300 courses for free. They’ll be available this week only, so if you’ve been planning to attend a photography course – now’s a great time to start.

There are a number of online courses that you can take for free right now, and Leica has decided to give its contribution. The company has announced an online series of free educational talks, as well as a weekly photo challenge to help you stay creative and curious even in these difficult times.

Like I mentioned in one of my previous articles, online learning is one of the great ways to spend your time in self-isolation. More and more companies and individual creatives are unlocking their online courses, offering them for free to everyone stuck at home during the coronavirus outbreak. To make it easier for you, we put all of them in one place. So, here’s a list of online courses that you can access for free during the coronavirus crisis. There’s a bunch of them all over the web now, but we’ve focused on those related to photography and visual arts.

Last month, we shared with you ‘a geeky crash course on the science of camera sensors,’ a short film from the team at Filmmaker IQ that took a look at the intricate light-sensitive devices that capture the images we take.

Today, Filmmaker IQ has dropped their latest video, ‘The Properties of Camera Lenses,’ which dives into the details of the glass we place in front of camera sensors—lenses.
