The new Z and RF mounts on the Nikon Z6/7 and Canon EOS R have been a big deal for a lot of people contemplating making the switch. This is especially true for owners of F or EF mount Sigma Art, Contemporary and Sport Series lenses.
Sigma has now done some more testing and updated the compatibility lists for both cameras using the Nikon Z to F & Canon RF to EF lens mount adapters. There are also some notes when using specific older model lenses.
They sure don’t waste any time over at Magic Lantern HQ. A1ex at ML sent over a couple of firmware files over to Andrew Reid at EOS HD to test out on his new Canon EOS R camera. While neither file currently adds any functionality to the EOS R, one of them does prove that Magic Lantern commands will be at least possible on Canon’s new mirrorless.
There have been a lot of complaints about the Canon EOS R mirrorless camera. It only has one card slot, it crops when shooting 4K video, and there’s no IBIS. “WTF Canon?” the collective Internet proclaimed. Well, Canon has now responded to at least one of those issues.

According to serial-leakers Nokishita, Canon’s new mirrorless camera will be announced at some point during the next four weeks. They’ve just posted a list for new product announcements coming in September that includes a new “EOS R” camera, along with four “RF” mount lenses, along with a few EF and EF-M lenses.
