Unfortunately, we have seen photographers get assaulted and insulted for shooting on public property, and the latest case happened a few days ago. The police assaulted and arrested the photographer for filming in public, he was left bleeding, and he caught the incident on camera.

Chinese developer arrested after compromising every single drone by ‘accidentally’ posting DJI’s private keys on Github

A Chinese developer has exposed DJI’s AES private keys by posting them onto Github in plain text. By doing this, he made it easy to decrypt DJI’s encrypted flight control firmware. So, when it was discovered, it sent the man to jail and he’ll have to pay a fine of nearly $30,000.

When flying a drone, you must know what your limitations are. When traveling with it, this knowledge expands to the drone laws of the country you’re visiting. If you choose to stay ignorant, you may end up in jail, and this is exactly what happened to a French tourist in Myanmar. Thanks to his ignorance of the country’s drone law, he was arrested and sentenced to a whole month in jail just because he was taking some aerial shots with a drone.

Missing photographer Lu Guang was arrested, Chinese police confirms

Award-winning Chinese photographer Lu Guang went missing in early November. His wife Xu Xiaoli claimed that he was taken away by national security officers, and now this information has been confirmed. The photographer was arrested while visiting Xinjiang province in China, and Chinese police have confirmed it to Mr. Lu’s family.

A British student was recently arrested for spying in Egypt after taking photos from an airplane. Reportedly, the 19-year-old Muhammed Fathi Abulkasem was accused of taking a photo of a military helicopter, and he was detained on arrival at Alexandria airport.

Drug dealers busted after accidentally filming themselves and crashing a drone in the prison yard

While artists use drones to capture epic photos and videos, there are people who, sadly, misuse these gadgets for criminal actions. But it was drone footage that recently put two drug dealers behind the bars. They accidentally filmed themselves while packing drugs. When they tried to smuggle them over the prison wall, the drone crashed and the footage of the dealers ended up in the police’s hands.

Australian filmmaker sentenced to six years in Cambodian prison for “spying”

Australian filmmaker James Ricketson was sentenced this Friday to six years in a Cambodian prison. The 69-year-old filmmaker was arrested in June 2017 after he flew a drone at an opposition party rally. Recently, a Cambodian court charged him for espionage and sentenced him to jail.

Woman arrested for smuggling 209 pounds of cocaine, says she did it for Instagram fame

People will do lots of crazy, dangerous and senseless stuff only to become Instagram famous. The chase for such fame sent 24-year-old Canadian to jail. Melina Roberge pleaded guilty for smuggling 209 pounds (95 kilos) of cocaine into the Sydney Harbour in 2016. And reportedly, she did it just so she can climb the Instagram ladder and get the followers envy her on the glamorous lifestyle.

Police in Wales recently arrested a drug dealer thanks to fingerprints taken from a WhatsApp photo. The snapshot shows only a part of the man’s palm, but it was apparently enough to lead to the suspect and secure 11 convictions. According to the reports, this is the first time that Welsh police made convictions based on the fingerprints taken from a photo.

Man arrested after posting photo of a rifle on Instagram, captioned “Thinking about finally going back to school”

The mass shooting at a Florida high school last week shook up the USA as well as the rest of the world. A man from Texarkana, Texas apparently tried making a cruel joke out of it, and it sent him straight to jail. 24 years old Ricky Rankin posted a photo of an AR-15 assault rifle to his Instagram page, the same type of rifle used in the Florida high school shooting. The caption “I’m thinking about finally going back to school” had the community concerned, so they notified the police, which took him into custody.

Alex Baker is a portrait and lifestyle driven photographer based in Valencia, Spain. She works on a range of projects from commercial to fine art and has had work featured in publications such as The Daily Mail, Conde Nast Traveller and El Mundo, and has exhibited work across Europe

Dave Williams is an accomplished travel photographer, writer, and best-selling author from the UK. He is also a photography educator and published Aurora expert. Dave has traveled extensively in recent years, capturing stunning images from around the world in a modified van. His work has been featured in various publications and he has worked with notable brands such as Skoda, EE, Boeing, Huawei, Microsoft, BMW, Conde Nast, Electronic Arts, Discovery, BBC, The Guardian, ESPN, NBC, and many others.

John Aldred is a photographer with over 20 years of experience in the portrait and commercial worlds. He is based in Scotland and has been an early adopter - and occasional beta tester - of almost every digital imaging technology in that time. As well as his creative visual work, John uses 3D printing, electronics and programming to create his own photography and filmmaking tools and consults for a number of brands across the industry.

Dunja Djudjic is a multi-talented artist based in Novi Sad, Serbia. With 15 years of experience as a photographer, she specializes in capturing the beauty of nature, travel, and fine art. In addition to her photography, Dunja also expresses her creativity through writing, embroidery, and jewelry making.
