I have a few favorite cafes in several cities, and I think I’ve just found another one. But it’s not an ordinary café as no human can get inside, sit down and order a drink. It was made by photographer Kristen Flagg in her own backyard, and its visitors are chipmunks, squirrels, and birds. Kristen doesn’t only serve them fruit, seeds, and nuts, but she also takes photos of her cute little customers. And she has agreed to share some of these adorable photos with DIYP.
This creepy little spy camera goes underwater to show snow monkeys’ grooming rituals
Is there such a thing as Uncanny Valley for animals? Because seeing the modern spy cameras, I think there should be. PBS has created a robotic Japanese macaque to film the daily lives of its living counterparts. It can even dive, so it has managed to film the underwater grooming ritual of these adorable animals.
Watch this curious octopus trying to steal a diver’s GoPro
If you ask me, animals who steal cameras are always fun to watch. We’ve seen some hilarious encounters of mammals and birds with GoPros, and the funny video we’re about to share with you today took place in the sea. It shows a curious little octopus persistently trying to steal a diver’s GoPro. And it looks like the animal liked it a lot!
Can you tell which of these two zebras is looking at the camera?
We love optical illusions, no matter if they were made with forced perspective, colors, or makeup. Indian wildlife photographer Sarosh Lodhi made one by snapping a photo at exactly the right time. He photographed two zebras, and people can’t seem to agree which one is looking at the camera. Can you guess which one is it?
This bizarre but brilliant turtle spy cam lays camera eggs for vultures to steal
Wildlife spy cameras are getting so realistic that animals are even befriending them. PBS already showed us some of the awesome spy cameras they developed, but I think they’ve taken things to a whole new level with this robotic turtle. It doesn’t only swim the sea and crawl the sand while recording with a camera in its eye – it even lays tiny camera eggs!
Watch curious baby macaque befriend PBS’ spy camera
PBS series Spy in the Wild 2 has shown us some interesting and hilarious clips so far. For this show, PBS has built a whole lot of different spy cameras, all of which show us the animal lives up close and personal. And this time, a spy camera disguised as a macaque caught the attention of a real baby macaque who wanted to be its friend. It’s heartwarming and funny at the same time.
Photographer captures heartwarming image of two hugging penguins consoling each other
When I see photos that radiate love and friendship, it always melts my heart, no matter if they show humans or animals. German photographer Tobias Baumgaertner captured a friendship of two penguins, hugging and consoling each other. His photo of this adorable duo standing flipper in flipper quickly went viral, and if it doesn’t make you go “aww,” I don’t know what will.

The man from another dimension
A Discovery
It was an early Tuesday morning, and I was sitting in a car with a friend of mine.
We were going over some papers for a project I had in mind.
While my friend had his eyes buried in the papers and text – mine started to wander outside.
Leaning on the wall outside was a pretty big security guard, who was staring into the distance.
Suddenly, out of nowhere a bunch of sparrows swarmed him, some landing on his head.
I hunched forward not really understanding what I was looking at.
He raised his head and opened his mouth slightly.
One of the sparrows carefully walked across his face and proceeded to eat something out of his
mouth.
