Photographer stuck in Vietnam after airline bans him from flying with recalled MacBook Pro

A few months ago, Apple announced a recall for a certain number of 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro laptops, and the FAA banned these laptops from flights. British travel photographer Julian Elliott recently tried to fly out of Vietnam with his MacBook Pro from the “suspicious” series. However, his laptop was deemed unsafe and he ended up being stuck in a foreign country.

JetBlue airline dares you to delete all your Instagram photos to win a year of free flights

This photographer captured total solar eclipse from a commercial airplane at 39,000 feet

This time last year, the total solar eclipse made millions of people stop, observe, film and photograph the breathtaking sight. Photographer Jon Carmichael captured the totality from an airplane and made it look like the photo was taken from space. Many people have described it as “the most amazing image ever taken from a commercial airplane.” And now, Carmichael shares the equally amazing story that follows this awe-inspiring photo.

This guy flew a drone dangerously close to an airplane during take off

It is forbidden to fly drones near airports, and if you do it, you can cause a huge chaos. However, there are still people who don’ seem to care about it, and they keep flying their drones near airports and even near airplanes. Like this dude, who flew his drone dangerously close to an airplane during the takeoff.

As we recently reported, the U.S. has lifted the electronics ban due to the “enhanced security measures.” As it turns out, these measures involve the separate scan of all the electronics from your carry-on if it’s larger than a smartphone. If you’re a photographer, this means you’ll have to put your camera into a bin for separate x-ray scanning. After extensive testing on 10 airports, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will expand these measures to all U.S. airports soon.

U.S. lifts the electronics ban from the Middle East flights

Earlier this year, the U.S. banned electronics on flights from eight Muslim countries. Even though there was a word it could happen on all international flights, the U.S. government has decided to lift the electronics ban altogether. According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the security measures have been enhanced, so there is no need to rely on electronics ban for the increase of safety.

Tunisair Stole My Cameras

On Saturday 1 July, £600 worth of cameras and equipment were stolen from inside my rucksack, itself packed into a larger suitcase, during a Tunisair flight from Tunis to London Heathrow whilst they were checked into the hold of the plane.

Like any discerning photographer, or indeed sensible human being, the idea of checking my cameras in rather than keeping them with me in hand luggage was unthinkable, but as it turns out, I didn’t have a choice.

As photographer’s rights continue to make their way to the headlines, the Washington Post chimed in on the subject with a public service announcement of sorts informing photographers of the restrictions in which many commercial airlines are beginning to enforce. New Zealand’s Hobbit Safety Video Shows Everything Can Be Epic

When we think airline safety videos we usually think… Actually we don’t think, we black out because we know it is going to be as boring as watching paint dry.

Then on the other hand you have the Epic The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies,which should come out by the end of the year. hmmmm…..

Air New Zealand meshed the two up to create the most Epic airline safety video ever.

Aside some epic landscapes, elves, Orcs, The Lord of the Eagles and some epic battles, the movie also features one Elijah Woods and a quick hello from Peter Jackson.
