Photographer invents a chassis to turn your iPhone 6S/6S Plus into a camera rig

I get the charm of shooting video on an iPhone, especially since picking up an iPhone SE.  It’s small, it’s always with you, and the video it can produce is pretty impressive.  But where my SE has the advantage of a slew of cases available that let me hook it up to all kinds of other video shooting devices, many 6S/6S Plus users do not.

The new Helium Core for the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus form factors not only aims to fix this situation, but takes things a step further by adding a whole bunch of 1/4-20 thread sockets allowing mounting your phone to pretty much any system you desire, as well as letting you to add microphones, lights, and other gadgets on top.

iPhone 6s and 6s Plus feature 4K video and Live Photos

Apple has just announced the new iPhones, the 6s and 6s Plus, and iPhonongraphers have several reasons to be excited.

For the first time in an Apple product, the iPhone will be capable of recording 4K video and a new feature called Live Photos has been introduced.

Additionally, the camera’s megapixel count has been increased for the first time since the days of the iPhone 4s back in 2011 and the front camera now has a flash-like option.

Alex Baker is a portrait and lifestyle driven photographer based in Valencia, Spain. She works on a range of projects from commercial to fine art and has had work featured in publications such as The Daily Mail, Conde Nast Traveller and El Mundo, and has exhibited work across Europe

Dave Williams is an accomplished travel photographer, writer, and best-selling author from the UK. He is also a photography educator and published Aurora expert. Dave has traveled extensively in recent years, capturing stunning images from around the world in a modified van. John Aldred is a photographer with over 20 years of experience in the portrait and commercial worlds. He is based in Scotland and has been an early adopter - and occasional beta tester - of almost every digital imaging technology in that time. As well as his creative visual work, John uses 3D printing, electronics and programming to create his own photography and filmmaking tools and consults for a number of brands across the industry.

Dunja Djudjic is a multi-talented artist based in Novi Sad, Serbia. With 15 years of experience as a photographer, she specializes in capturing the beauty of nature, travel, and fine art. In addition to her photography, Dunja also expresses her creativity through writing, embroidery, and jewelry making.
