Sony has announced the new FE 20mm f/1.8 G lens, the widest full-frame lens in its E mount lineup. Designed for things like astrophotography, landscapes and street photography, Sony bills this $898 lens as ideal for portraits, too, oddly enough – presumably they mean location portraits. But it’s a lightweight, compact, ultra-wide lens, and it can be yours for a mere $898.
Nikon announces two new Z-mount lenses: 24-200mm f/4-6.3 and 20mm f/1.8
Other than the D6, Nikon also has something to make Z shooters happy today: the company has just announced NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR and NIKKOR Z 20mm f/1.8 S. We’ve been expecting them since January and October last year. The 20mm f/1.8 was even shown off at last year’s CP+. But now they’re both out and ready for you to start shooting with them. So, let’s dive in and see what you can expect.
Samyang drops two new 20mm lenses for photography and video
Following on from the 135mm T2.2 Xeen, 50mm f/1.4AF and 35mm f/1.2 APS-C, Samyang have announced their third new lens in as many weeks. This time it’s actually a pair of lenses. The 28mm f/1.8 ED AS UMC for photography, and the 20mm T1.9 ED AS UMC cine lens.
Internally, both lenses have the same makup of 13 elements in 12 groups with 2 aspherical elements. Their differences are primarily on the exterior. This affects both their appearance as well as their weight, glightly.
