Being a photographer used to be pretty simple. You had a camera, you had a subject you liked photographing and you used to go out with your camera and photograph the subject you liked. In September 2016 my Photography Agents, Vaughn-Hannigan, abruptly closed their doors after 10 years in business. Since then I have been without an agent, representing myself, and I thought I would look back and ask the question which has been lingering with me through this time:
To Agent or not to Agent?
Shortly after it was first aired, TV series Chernobyl took the world by storm. Expectedly, its enormous popularity has taken even more tourists to already quite visited abandoned town of Pripyat. One Instagrammer even set a nude photo shoot at the nuclear disaster site. So, Chernobyl writer, Craig Mazin, recently publicly asked people to respect the site and remember that it was a place of tragedy.
The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards brings funny photos and wildlife photography together, which means: it brings you lots of photos of funny animals. How can it be better than that? The 2019 competition is still on the run, but the team has shared some of the best entries so far with DIYP. Check them out below and have a good laugh just like we did.
