RembrandtNormally, Glyn Dewis is behind a computer, showing us photographers how to get the job done. However, for one of his latest video, he puts himself behind the camera, where he shows us one of the most common lighting techniques out there – Rembrandt lighting.

Named after the Dutch painter Rembrandt, who often used this style of lighting in his work, this lighting technique is popular because it can be done using only one light source and provides a simple and natural result.

In the three minute video, Dewis breaks down the basics and shows how he goes about utilizing the traditional technique.

To see more videos from Dewis, you can head on over to his YouTube Channel.
