Redrock Micro introduces Super 8 inspired video rig for Sony A5000-series cameras

If you’re a fan of Sony cameras and have a love for retro gear, Redrock Micro has introduced a new product that might just pique your interest.

It’s called the RetroFlex-S and it’s a retro-inspired video rig designed to turn Sony A5000-series cameras into a handheld shooting machines.

Inspired by Super–8 of days long past, the rig is made out of machined aluminum and black Leatherette accents, which encases the camera for both protection and as a means to add additional attachments. Specifically, the rig is comparable with Light panels, microphones, and external recorders.

Also present on the rig is a magnetically attached loupe, which features a focusing diopter, making it easy to see the LCD screen of the camera, even in bright conditions.

The RetroFlex-S is available for $545 on Redrock Micro’s online store. For those with other Sony cameras, Redrock Micro says support for other A-series cameras is just around the corner.
