I’ve become obsessed with this dog bed stand, and have taken it to a new level. Here is my updated tutorial to build your own dog bed newborn poser!
My last post described how I added an adjustable backdrop to the dog bed…but it wasn’t good enough for me. I decided I needed to raiser the posing surface up about 6-8″ so I could easily sit at the poser and comfortable pose baby. My current poser is way to to tall, and I have to do this creepy squat/hunch while posing, which isn’t great for my back (and I’m sure it doesn’t look amazing either). The first dog bed hack I created was good, but a little bit too low. I could BARELY squeeze my legs under while sitting “criss cross applesauce” and I worried that I would have to lean too far forward to pose baby.
Seeing all those amazing photos of perfect lives and perfect bodies on Instagram can make us feel jealous. We know that they’re posed and even fake, yet they can still make us feel that we’re not good enough. Because of this, Instagrammer Sara Puhto has built her Instagram account around body positivity and much-needed reality check. She shares side-by-side photos of herself that show just how big the difference is between real life and posing for social media photos.
Even though several people have died after posing for photos on great heights, I guess some folks still think it’s cool to risk your life for a shot. A woman from Mexico recently fell from 80 feet (24.3 m) while practicing “extreme yoga” on the balcony rail. As you can guess, she was doing it for the sake of a photo. She reportedly survived the fall, but she was seriously injured.
A woman from Tacoma, Washington recently ended up in hospital after posing with a live octopus on her face. Reportedly, she thought that the photo will help her win a local photo competition. But instead, the venomous animal bit her on the face and sent her to the emergency room.
Including hands in the frame when shooting portraits can add to the story and make your portraits more appealing. But if you don’t pose them properly, they are rather a nuisance than useful addition to your image. In this video, Miguel Quiles shares ten useful things for posing hands in portraits to make the best out of your photos.
When I first started dabbling in portrait photography, I quickly realized that the photographer’s connection to the subject can be the difference between a mediocre portrait and a great one. Communication is one of the most important skills you can learn as a portrait photographer. That’s why in this video, I’m going to show you some simple posing tips and techniques that you can use while taking portraits of males who are not models.
Fortunately, this isn’t another death-by-selfie, but it is another example of somebody being completely unaware of their surroundings for the sake of getting that perfect Instagram shot. Well, this unnamed lady has got her viral wish, although probably not for the reason she was hoping.
The lady, while posing for a photo in Bali, was suddenly hit by a massive wave that almost took her clean out. Luckily for her, she appeared to get away with just a few minor cuts and bruises.
It’s November, but let’s face it, Christmas is gonna be here in no time. So, a Shelbyville, Indiana-based photographer Amy Haehl recently posted a baby photo inspired by the iconic movie A Christmas Story. But instead of evoking holiday spirit, the photo caused a flood of negative comments because of a wooden BB gun the baby boy is holding in his arms.
