Sometimes, the video editing and visual effects jobs we get can demand some pretty hardcore specs for maximum performance. While we were at NAB 2019, we spotted a PC on the ASUS stand that definitely seemed to have specs that fall under that “hardcore” category. We spoke with ASUS to find out more.

This long term timelapse camera can run for a month off four AA batteries
by Leave a CommentTimelapse is a subject that many photographers and filmmakers have tried. But sometimes, a couple of hours just isn’t long enough to shoot the sequence that you really need. In construction, for example, you might need to keep shooting for up to a month, or even more.
The Afidus ATL-200 from TimeLapseCameras is one solution to this problem, offering a month of shooting on just four AA batteries. We caught up with TimeLapseCameras at NAB 2019 to find out more.

We wanted to find out more about how camera sliders and motion control heads can be used in practical situations. Typically, we see sliders being used for timelapse creation, but we wanted to know more about how they could be used for video. So, here Ben shows us how we can use the Syrp Genie II 3-Axis Pro Slider Kit to add a B camera to an interview.

Feelworld upgrades the F6 field monitor with a touchscreen UI in the new F6 Plus
by 2 CommentsFeelworld’s range of entry-level monitors have become quite popular over the last couple of years. Although they don’t offer all the bells and whistles we might find on monitors from Aputure and SmallHD, they’re plenty good enough for many hybrid shooters and specific use cases where those bells and whistles might be overkill.
The Feelworld F6 has been a very popular monitor, but Feelworld was showing off a new F6 Plus at NAB 2019, so we spoke with them to take a closer look and find out more.
The Shark Slider Nano is a whisper quiet camera slider for shooting video or timelapse
by Leave a CommentThere are quite a lot of sliders out there these days, and many of them are excellent for timelapse, but quite a few of them have one big problem when it comes to video. That problem is noise, which can make it difficult to not only get a good sync track on the camera, but the slider can actually be picked up by dedicated microphones for external audio, too.
We’d heard that the new Shark Slider Nano from iFootage, though, is whisper quiet. We wanted to hear this for ourselves, so we paid them a visit during NAB 2019 to find out more.
