The last week was very interesting week on my professional career, I was attending a software conference in Toronto called The Agile Conference 2008. The conference was all about making software better. (Any Agile practitioners here? Give me a shout).
I find that there are plenty of similarities between Agile software development and striving for photography perfection and style, and I intend to share this in an upcoming post. (Don't worry, this will not be a geeky-techie post).
While being away from home I had the pleasure of watching the DIYP Flickr group grow. We are now 2751 enthusiastic photographers, and sharing 2653 picture. Great work. While it feels great to be part of such a striving community, I noticed that the number of photographer is smaller then the number of pictures. That means that some of us are missing on the great opportunity to share our pictures and get ideas, critique and standing ovations from group member.
Here is my suggestion, if you did not submit at least on picture to the group, submit one picture now, and pick one of the other images on the group and make a comment. This is turn will encourage other to comment on your images.
Thanks for making my day great! Below are some of my favorites from the last month.

Agile
I've been doing agile scrum for about two years now with a few stints as a scrum master. It's a good way of running many software projects; I look forward to hearing how you compare it to the photographic process!
Agile totally rocks
I find it can be applied to almost any aspect of life. I'll definitely write more about it in the post.
Agile
We use a less formal agile system her at my company. Really helped us push more software out the door with less issues especially considering our less then sufficient staff.
thanks
thanks for selecting 3 of my photos as some of your favorites for the month. i enjoy your site!
Two Thumbs up to Agile
Been doing variations of agile for 4 years - tough to get it right, but totally worth it. At the core of agile is a short feedback loop between the client and the delivery team so there are definitely analogies to be had in photography, especially with the advent of digital cameras. Looking forward to reading your post.
Agile Photography
I've been an agile practitioner for years. Looking forward to your post connecting agile software development to photography. I am thinking of something about iterative processes, testing, etc..
Thanks for the feature
Thanks for picking one of my pics, mean a lot.

Sure Abdallah, I really liked the way she just bounces of the white background. Have you seen Zack's white background tutorial? it has many tricks for utilizing your frame.
thanks
I'm glad you liked my picture. I did not see that tutorial before, but thank you for the link, I'm going to check it out right now.
agile scrum
Excelent idea about agile and photography.Agile is a sooo natural methodology that it works applied on almost everything.
Maybe a conference about this...:)
agile scrum rocks
Well, it turns out scrum (and Agile) in general was not invented at the software industry, but as part of Toyota's self improvement. They were tackling the issue that their cars because obsolete as soon as they were our of production and needed to some up with a way to make changing and feature adding faster.
I think almost all can be done better if done agile, and it is hard to resist and counter the understandings that lie in the core of agile, teamwork, fast feedback, respect,...
Thanks
WOW. One of my pictures in DIY :|
Many thanks for my chosing my picture as one of your favorites this realy gives more motivation.
BTW mine is the little Dog in the second row.
hmmm... what about other photo sites?
Back in the day, there was a huge backlash based on the changes Yahoo then made to the ToU for Flickr. I'm one of those who decided to take my business elsewhere.
What about other sharing sites? Do they also have a DIYP group? Should I be starting one on 23hq?
Agile? We've been using it for a while, reasonably successfully. Personally, I like the "beyond budgeting" idea, too...
Thanks for getting me acquainted with 23
It looks like a nice platform. It would be great to have a DIYP group there.
